Eva Di Blasio
Eva, together with her partner, is raising two neurodiverse young boys herself and knows what it is like to not have the right or any support in place. She understands the impact this has on the wellbeing of the whole family – may that be mentally, physically or emotionally. She soon realised that finding the right services was basically a full time job on top of managing and supporting her family.
With a background in screen production, she knows how to develop, schedule, budget and finance film and television. These 15 years of experience came in handy when she had to learn how to manage the diverse requirements her two beautiful boys needed. Navigating the many different support services available is her biggest production yet and is something that came easy to her.
Eva is now offering this service to those facing similar situations and would benefit from everything she has learnt to date. When you meet Eva, you will meet someone who cares and loves what life has brought to her.
Her perspective on life has been opened up by the way her boys experience life. She is continually inspired by the way they walk to the beat of their own drum and can look outside the box at things others would simply ignore or feel powerless to address.
She has seen the difference quality support coordination can play, turning exhaustion and overwhelm into having the space to be settled and see the big picture.
Small changes bring about big changes and we are here to support you to achieve exactly that.
I am passionate about each person finding their own pathway and building the life that they want to live.
Testimonials
Eva Di Blasio assisted our family with a NDIS plan review last year when our first NDIS budget rolled over. Our son was diagnosed at three years with level 2-3 severity of ASD, nonverbal / selective mutism, hyper mobility, high anxiety, global development delay the list could go on. We got our first NDIS plan which naively at the time we were thrilled with as we had been paying full out of pocket fees for support services and had no ideal at the time the struggles which were to come. Our first NDIS plan was exhausted after three months of minimal services and we were back paying full fees ourselves, our son had started school and the support he needed become more and more evident. He started to self-harm at four years old, refused to go to school, would not get into the car, would kick, and hit out at me and his dad, was a flight risk and stressful to be out in public. The gap between him, and his peers was growing, and the family impact was taking its toll.
We were issued a plan roll over and I called my NDIS local area coordinator to seek a review. I was hysterical on the phone really upset, I explained our families situation emotionally, mentally and financially and the level of support which was realistically needed. I was told very firmly that we had more than adequate funding and was questioned what would make me assume otherwise. I was broken after this phone call. Everyone kept telling me early intervention is key, but we couldn’t get the support or afford to continue to pay full fees ourselves. I felt like we were failing our son. It was at this point I reached out to Eva at Be Space, and all I can say is that she was a blessing!
Eva supporting me though a plan appeal with the NDIS, she guided us through the ins and outs of what evidence I needed to include in my appeal. She put me in contact with services that could assist in preparing new assessments which I could include in my report. She chatted with me when I was stressed out and mentally and emotionally broken and in tears with the system. She was so professional and empathic in how she approached challenges. Eva was efficient in her responses and extremely professional with her advise.
With her assistance I submitted my funding appeal to the NDIS and I was successful. We got additional funding which enabled us to provide more 1:1 support for our son, we were able to get a pod book for communication and extra speech therapy to assisting with using the book and learn some Aslan signs. We were able to increase our OT services providing both social support and home support, access a physiotherapist for emotional support not just for our son but also for us.
Our son as a result has come into his own, we are still working on many challenges but with the help of Eva our boy has stared to thrive and find his feet. Without the assistance of Be Space he would not be where he is today.
I highly recommend Eva Di Blasio and Be Space and will be forever thankful ~ Anna, Perth
With Eva’s support and guidance I was able to navigate the challenges of applying for NDIS for my son with developmental delays. She was not only a wealth of knowledge, she was also empathetic and caring and was able to set me on the right path, for what otherwise can be an overwhelming and difficult system to navigate. When you are in the midst of children with behavioural challenges and extra need, and struggling to even put one foot in front of the other, I couldn’t stress more how invaluable her services are to give you practical and accomplishable tasks to make the application process more straight forward.
Having Eva by my side at the interview process was also reassuring, and helpful. She was able to advocate for my needs and support me through it all, as it can all be emotionally taxing. I honestly couldn’t recommend Eva’s services enough to any families navigating the NDIS. Her help is invaluable. – Lucy, North Perth
I cannot thank Eva enough for her exceptional work. Eva went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction and exceeded all of my expectations. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of her services and wanting someone who truly understands what it’s like navigating the NDIS process. Thank you for your professionalism and outstanding results! – Stef, Dianella, Perth
